In November of 1996, Clifford Bailey was commissioned by the Democratic National Committee (DNC) to paint (2) portraits of Bill Clinton playing saxophone. The first gold portrait was given to the President as a gift . The second blue piece of art was made into posters which were sold as part of a fundraising event. When Clifford met the President at the Biltmore hotel in Coral Gables, Florida. Bill Clinton shook his hand and said to him “I’m going to hang this painting in my music room”.
