In November of 1996, Clifford Bailey was commissioned by the Democratic National Committee (DNC) to paint (2) portraits of Bill Clinton playing saxophone . The first blue portrait was made into posters which were sold as part of a fundraising event. The second piece of art was given to the President as a gift. When Clifford met the President at the Biltmore hotel in Coral Gables, Florida. Bill Clinton shook his hand and said to him “I’m going to hang this painting in my music room”.
